Abstract

Macintosh Ⅱci 컴퓨터와 28.8kbps TelePort 팩스 모뎀, 웹브라우저 인 Netscpae
Navigator를 이용하여 인터넷상에 접속한 후 검색엔진인 '인포시크'로 검색된 40개의
radiology teaching file site의 국적, 증례수와 검색엔진유무 ,증례의 배열 형태, 영상포맷의
형태, 구강악안면 질환 포함 유무, 작성년도, 계속적인 업로드 유무를 조사, 분석하였고, 각
site에서 임의로 추출한 GIF포맷의 영상 287개, JPEG포맷의 영상 235개를 대상으로 영상의
크기를 측정하고, 질을 평가하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다.
1 radiology teaching file의 site별 분석 (1) radiology teaching file의 국적 총 40개의 site
중 미국이 23개(57.5%)로 가장 많았다
(2) 증례수와 검색 엔진한 파일당 올린 증례수의 평균은 186개이었으며 파일 자체에 검색
엔진이 설치되어 있는 곳은 9개(22.5%)로 조사되었다.
(3) 증례의 배열형태
부위별와 질환별의 흔합형이 10개(26%)였고 증례별이 9개(23%)로 그다음을 차지하였다.
(4) 구강악안면 영역의 질환을 포함하는 파일 구강악안면 영역의 질환을 포함하는 파일은
11개(28%)였고 이중 구강악안면 질환만을 다룬 파일은 2개로 전체의 5%를 차지하였다.
(5) 영상포맷GIF와 PEG이 각각 14개(35%)씩 이었으며 GIF와 JPEG의 혼합형이 10개
(25%), GIF와 JPEG의 선택형이 2개(5%)였다.
(6) 작성년도와 증례의 업로드 파일을 작성한 년도는 95년이 전체 파일의 43.7%로 가장
많았으며 계속적으로 증례를 업로드한 파일은 35개(87.5%)로 나타났다.
2. radiology tcaching file에 등재된 영상에 대한 평가
(1) 영상포맷과 영상 파일크기와의 관계 GIF포맷의 평균 영상 파일 크기는 71kbyte로,
PEG포맷의 24kbyte 보다 크게 나타났다(P<0.001).
(2) 영상포맷과 영상의 질과의 관계 GIF포맷이 JPEG포맷 보다 영상의 질이 우수하게 나
타났다(p<0.001).

There is increasing attention about radiology teaching files on the Internet in the field
of diagnostic radiology. The purpose of this study was to aid in the creation of new
radiology teaching file by analysing the present radiology teaching file sites on the
Internet with many aspects and evaluating images on those sites, using Macintosh Ⅱci
computer, 28.8kbps TelePort Fax/ Modem, Netscape Navigator 2.0 software
The results were as follow :
1. Analysis of radiology teaching file sites
(1) Country distribution was the highest in USA(57.5%).
(2) Average number of cases was 186 cases and radiology teaching file sites with
search engine were 9 site 5 (22.5%).
(3) At the method of case arrangement, anatomic area type and diagnosis type were
found at the10 sites(25%) each, question & answer type was found at the 9
sites(22.5%).
(4) Radiology teaching file sites with oro-maxillofacial disorder were 9 sites(22.5%).
(5) At the image format, GIF format was found at the 14 sites(35%). and JPEG
format found at the 14 sites(35%).
(6) Created year was the highest in 1995(43.7%).
(7) Continuing case upload was found at the 35 sites(87.5%).
2. Evaluation of images on the radiology teaching files
(1) Average file size of GIF format (71 Kbyte) was greater than that of JPEG
format(24 Kbyte). (P<0.001)
(2) Image qaulity of G9 format was better than that of JPEG format. (p<0.001)
